President's Message

  • In the past two years, a very positive and dynamic growth has been observed in the oil and gas industry and furthermore, the approval of smaller to midsized projects by many companies is adding to the momentum and success of Triumph EPCM. Our major clients have been very active in the areas of water treatment facilities, carbon capture plants and SAGD operations all of which have positioned Triumph EPCM in a very important market niche and have furthered our growth as a leader in the small to midsized project EPCM market.

Through this time period we have developed our own Electrical and Instrumentation department with many strong and capable individuals that have attracted additional prominent staff. This is a major achievement for Triumph EPCM considering that we have now fully staffed all disciplines necessary to execute all engineering requirements on projects. This was initiated to meet the needs of our major client and has since then developed into the support of other clients and the ability to attract new projects with an electrical scope.

We are active carrying out business developments which are my primary intentions in order to meet new clients and maintain business relationships with our existing clients. By committing to safe and excellent work we have been able to meet our client’s expectations and bring in new projects.

Right now, I see the future of Triumph as developing into a company that specializes in the area of water and waste treatment, carbon capture, gas management and alternate energy project type work. Expertise in these areas will reduce the amount of competition we have with the types of projects specified above and moreover, will provide solutions to many difficult environmental challenges in the industry. With our present company size of approximately 60 people, which, will probably be around the 100 mark by next year, we will be nimble enough to handle several projects at one time and of course ensure that we have a longer term work load to maintain our staff and promote job security. Triumph EPCM proves by its history and present approach that this type of project strategy works with present clients and through their support we are able to continue new project developments.

By far, our greatest asset is our people and we are doing everything we can to train, mentor and develop the skills of our juniors and intermediates through technical courses, increasing their responsibilities and always working alongside those who either have a higher knowledge base or more experience. I believe that our mix of individuals ranging from the training of new students to our seasoned veterans makes Triumph EPCM a diversified company and ensures we are capable of forming project teams with a range of knowledge, capabilities and new energy. Through our infrastructure of Financial Management, IT, Human Resource Management and a strong solid foundation based on strong values for people and work culture we can succeed where others tend to struggle. It is very important to ensure that our communications internally and externally are always open to improvement and that we respect the differences of all individuals to assure a respectable and ideal work environment is created.

In closing, I want to thank all staff members, clients and all individuals that help contribute to the success and growth of Triumph EPCM and I would also like to extend my appreciation for making the company the great place it is today.
